　　p&e’susb mon08 multilink (part# usb-ml-mon08) is a debug interface which allows a pcaccess to the monitor mode on freescale hc08 microcontrollers. it connectsbetween a usb port on a windows machine and the standard 16-pin “berg” debugconnector on the target.

　　by using the usb mon08 multilink, the usercan take advantage of the monitor mode to halt normal processor execution anduse a pc to control the processor. the user can then directly control thetarget’s execution, read/write registers and memory values, debug code on theprocessor, and program internal or external flash memory devices.

　　the usb mon08 multilink works with p&e microputer system's in-circuitdebugger and flash programmer to allow debug and flash programming of thetarget processor. p&e has a set of interface libraries allowing the user towrite their own windows based application which interacts with p&e's debuginterface.

　　note: the multilink cable is only remended for development. for productionusage, see thecyclone prostandalone programmer and debug interface.
