德国邮政 DHL 集团和 Ense?a por Colombia(全球 Teach For All 网络的成员)今天签署了一项新的合作协议。

  Ense?a por Colombia 是一个独立的本地组织,是全球 Teach For All 网络的一部分。

作为 Teach For All 委员会的成员,让 Teach For All 背后的理念进一步传播对我来说尤为重要”。

Teach For All 执行官兼联合创始人 Wendy Kopp 对 DPDHL 的承诺表示赞赏:“我们很高兴德国邮政 DHL 集团进一步扩大其在 Teach For All 网络中的参与。

  DPDHL和Teach For All因长期合作而团结在一起

Deutsche Post DHL Group and Ense?a por Colombia, a member of the global Teach For All network, have today signed a new partnership agreement. In entering into this new partnership, Board Member for Human Resources Thomas Ogilvie, CEO DHL Colombia Daniel Viteri, CEO Express Colombia Allan Cornejo Retana, CEO Supply Chain Colombia Robinson Vásquez Escobar, and Margarita Maria Saenz of Ense?a por Colombia underlined their common commitment to education in the country. Thomas Ogilvie summarizes the position of Deutsche Post DHL Group: “Providing access to good education for every child on this planet is crucial for our future: Excellent education should not be a privilege.”

Ense?a por Colombia is an independent local organization that is part of the global Teach For All network. Through this and six other partnerships, Deutsche Post DHL Group is further expanding its cooperation with the Teach For All network in 2019. Thereby increasing the number of countries in which it supports partner organizations to a total of 19 around the world. The common objective of improving the life skills and employability of young people has been expanded to reach more children and youth from under-resourced communities.

“I am delighted to use my experience as HR Director of a global company to enable children to get a good education, regardless of social background. Education creates future,” says Thomas Ogilvie, Board Member for Human Resources at Deutsche Post DHL Group. In part, this belief derives from his own career: “I was lucky and able to complete my studies and ultimately my doctorate under very good conditions. Access to a good education is the right of every child, and the basis for social development, political stability and economic prosperity. As a member of the Teach For All Board, it is particularly important to me that the idea behind Teach For All spreads even further".

Group further expands Teach For All partnership

As part of its partnership with Teach For All, the logistics company has, for many years, been supporting existing network partners in various countries, including Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Ecuador, Germany, India, Lebanon, Malaysia, Peru, the Philippines, Spain and the UK. In addition to Colombia, 2019 has also seen Deutsche Post DHL Group start supporting partner organizations in Armenia, Mexico, Paraguay and Uruguay. In the coming months, additional partnerships will be launched with Uganda and Cambodia. “Our local employees are highly motivated and thus a major force for the expansion of our partnership with Teach For All around the world,” says Thomas Ogilvie.

Wendy Kopp, CEO and co-founder of Teach For All, appreciates DPDHL’s commitment: “We are delighted that Deutsche Post DHL Group is further expanding its involvement in the Teach For All network. The Group is an important strategic partner in our efforts to improve employability for young people.”

DPDHL and Teach For All united by long-standing cooperation

DPDHL Group has been collaborating with the Teach For All network within the context of its Corporate Citizenship Program GoTeach since 2010, focusing on improving employability for young people whose less advantaged background or situation means they cannot get off to the best start in life. In order to achieve this goal, DPDHL Group provides initial insights into the world of work as well as a wide range of vocational qualification and orientation opportunities, which the world’s leading mail and logistics company supports both financially and through the active participation of its employees. In deep partnership at the local level, Group employees leverage their expertise and professional know-how as mentors, trainers, sharing their professional stories with students as well as providing internships and other career opportunities to more than 7,200 children and young people in over 300 activities in 2018, alone.
