　　FedEx volunteers donated their time as part of the ‘FedEx Cares’ initiative to transform the centre at Action for Children’s Southwark Young Carers service.

　　The volunteers spent more than 50 hours helping to clean and paint the centre, and give the garden a makeover. With their assistance, Southwark Young Carers is able to continue its work to help ensure young carers have access to the same opportunities and experiences that other children often take for granted.

　　This activity was part of the FedEx Cares program where team members across the world give back to their communities. Through this initiative, FedEx supports a number of charitable organisations in the UK and around the world, including Action for Children in the UK, which they have supported for four years.

　　“I am really proud of our team members who are continually willing to give up their own time to support such worthwhile causes such as Southwark Young Carers,” says Trevor Hoyle, vice president, Operations, FedEx Express UK & Ireland. “We encourage our team members to support their local communities, in which they live and work, and are keen to see ever-increasing support in this area, helping both individuals and charities.”
