　　3月19日，安川发布通告称，其于2018年3月1日成立了致力于AI解决方案开发的100%控股子公司，GPIB-140A 新公司名字为“艾立方”（英文名称：AI Cube Inc.），新公司注册于日本东京，首期投资额1亿日元。

　　同时安川宣布了与Cross Compass的战略联盟关系，Cross Compass是一家为制造业提供AI解决方案的公司，双方除了技术合作，加快在制造现场引进人工智能的发展速度之外，还加强包括外包在内的合作，开发包括制造行业异常检测在内的各种解决方案。

　　安川表示，2017年10月，其在“2025愿景”GPIB-140A 的长期管理计划中提出了实现新工业自动化革命的新解决方案概念“i3-Mechatronics”，致力于通过将AI技术添加到安川具有全球竞争力的组件产品中来提供新的解决方案。

　　本次设立的新AI解决方案开发子公司，将利用收集基于伺服/变频器和机器人产品在制造现场产生的大数据，通过AI技术开发利用这些大数据，旨在提供一种新的AI解决方案，帮助客户解决制造现场面临的各种问题。特别的，安川将专注于开发直接带来生产力改进的解决方案，如用于视觉检测的图像处理，用于故障预测的时间序列分析以及缩短生产节拍时间的优化。
