loctite® chipbonder 368 is a very fast heat curing, onecomponent,
thixotropic adhesive for bonding surface mounted
devices to circuit boards.

applying the product
chipbonder 368 can be dispensed by air pressure syringe,
positive displacement pump, pin transfer or screen printing.
chipbonder 368 may be dispensed by syringe. chips can be
placed onto drops of adhesive up to two hours after it is applied
without any loss of strength.
when filling dispensers for use with the product, the nozzle of
the tube should be placed at the bottom of the dispenser and
slowly withdrawn as the product is dispensed, keeping the tip of
the nozzle under the surface of the material. this will ensure
that bubbles are not trapped in the product during filling.
trapped air can be removed by placing the dispensers in a
small laboratory centrifuge, taking care to seal the ends with a
suitable cap.
device removal/repair
devices bonded with chipbonder adhesives can be removed
using heat from a hot air jet. bond strength decreases at
approximately 120oc, allowing chips to be removed with
tweezers.

general information
this product is not recommended for use in pure oxygen
and/or oxygen rich systems and should not be selected as
a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.
storage
product shall be ideally stored in a cool, dry location in
unopened containers at a temperature between 8°c to 28°c
(46°f to 82°f) unless otherwise labeled. optimal storage is at
the lower half of this temperature range. to prevent
contamination of unused product, do not return any material to
its original container.
