大家看到医院中许多医护人员不仅戴防护口罩，还戴着防护眼罩和面屏，这是根据中国疾控中心发布的传染控制防护指南采取的措施。因为在医院分诊、发热门诊等需要近距离接触疑似病人和临床诊疗的医护人员，佩戴防护眼罩或面屏可以降低接触传染性飞沫或传染性体液喷溅或喷射的风险。3M 3659/34在佩戴防护眼罩时需要防护眼罩能与佩戴者眼睛四周有一定的密合性，并可以罩在近视眼镜外面，而且眼罩上的通风孔（有降低镜片起雾功能）的孔道设计不能是直通式的（必须有弯曲），防止液体飞溅物从眼罩外射入眼罩内部。这类眼面防护用品一旦被污染就需要清洁和消毒。
