　　ControlLogix处理器提供模块化用户内存（750K到8M字节）能解决大量I/O问题（4000点模拟量和128，000点数字量）。可以控制本地和远程I/O。处理器可以通过EtherNet/IP、 ControlNet、 DeviceNet和Universal Remote I/O监控I/O。

　　当在ControlLogix I/O机架内有多个处理器模块，甚至在ControlNet网内有多个处理器模块时，所有的处理器都可以从所有的输入模块读到输入值。任何一个处理器都可以控制任何特定的输出模块。通过系统组态每个输出模块由哪个处理器控制。

　　ControlLogix平台是机架式模块化安装。ControlLogix I/O是背板安装的。电源直接安装在ControlLogix I/O机架的左端。ControlLogix I/O机架有4、7、10、13或17槽之分。模块的安装完全和槽号无关；任何模块都可以安装在ControlLogix I/O机架的任意槽。ControlLogix I/O 模块的通道数是32通道。每个模块的可卸端子块的机械键控防止向模块施加错误的电压。不需要断开连线就可以更换 I/O 模块。
