焊接机器人的指标主要分为五个方面，这五个方面的特点和性质体现出了焊接机器人的五大指标。

1、适用的焊接方法和切割方法：
1. applicable welding methods and cutting methods:
一般弧焊机器人只适用熔化极气体保护焊，不存在高频引弧会对机器人的控制和驱动系统干扰问题。
the general arc welding robot is only suitable for gas l arc welding. there is no interference between the control and driving system of the high frequency arc.
能否用于钨极氩弧焊，则决定于该机器人有没有特殊抗干扰措施。
whether or not it can be used for tig welding depends on whether the robot has any special anti-interference measures.
2、摆动功能：

弧焊机器人有此要求。现有弧焊机器人的摆动功能差别很大。好选用能在空间范围内任意设定摆动方式和参数的机器人。

3、焊接p点示教功能：
3. the teaching function of the welding point:
对机器人示教是先示教焊缝上某一点的位置，后调整该点焊枪的姿态。
to teach the robot is to teach the position of a spot on the weld, and then adjust the posture of the torch.
当调整姿态时，原示教点的位置应保持不变。也就是机器人应能自动补偿因调整姿态所引起的p点位置的变化，确保p点坐标，以方便示教操作者。
when adjusting posture, the position of the original teaching point should remain unchanged. that is, robots should be able to automatically compensate for changes in the position of the pos caused by the adjustment of the pose and ensure the coordinates of the points to facilitate the teaching operator.
4、焊接工艺故障自检和自处理功能：

焊接时常出现一些工艺故障，如弧焊时的粘丝、断丝、点焊时的粘电极等，若不及时采取措施，则会发生损坏机器人或报废工件等大事故。

机器人必须具有检出这类故障并实时自动停车警告的功能。

5、引弧和收弧功能为了确保焊接质量：

引弧和收弧时，需改变焊接参数，机器人在示教时应能设定和修改。
