　　在塑料加工中作助剂用

　　1）ebs为优良的塑料加工助剂，几乎适用于所有热固性和热塑性塑料。ebs的润滑作用，抗粘连性和抗静电性优良，并能显著改善塑料或填料的分散性，因此，广泛用作润滑剂，脱模剂，爽滑开口剂。在塑料加工中加入本品，可改善树脂的溶流动性，提高工效，弥补模具光洁度之不足，使制品有光泽，色彩均匀鲜艳。

　　2）ebs可作为各种聚合物薄膜或片材的防粘结剂，吹塑时加入本品0.5-1%，不单可以防止气泡（鱼眼）的发生，并可使塑料袋口爽滑易开。

　　3）ebs作为润滑剂，内外润滑作用优良，与其它润滑剂如高级醇，脂肪酸酯硬酸钙及石蜡等合用有良好协同作用。在abs，as，硬质pvc，聚甲醛，聚碳酸脂以及聚胺脂和酚醛树脂的加工中，可用本品作为润滑脱模剂，其添加量0.5-1.5%左右。

　　4）在无机填充聚氯乙烯和聚烯烃的配方中，ebs与主稳定剂配合，可显著提高聚合物的材料和耐热耐候的性能。由于ebs与颜料或添料有较强的亲和力，因此，可改善添料的聚合物中的分散性和偶连性，提高制品的商业价值。

　　5）ebs尚可作为成核透明剂：在聚烯烃，聚甲醛和聚酰胺等化合物中能够缩短它的成核时间，促进树脂结构的变细，进而改善制品的机械性能和透明度。

　　6）ebs还可作为橡胶加工助剂，除具有润滑脱模性，添料表面增光剂。在氟橡胶加工中，可以提高胶粒提捏，加工和硫化性能。

　　7）在生产涂料加入ebs，能够提高颜料，填料的均匀分散性，改善烘干漆的表面流平性，防止漆皮剥落并改善耐水，耐酸性。在硝基漆中还可以起到消光作用。

　　8）在化纤工业中，ebs可以提高聚脂，聚酰胺纤维的耐热性，耐候性，赋予它们一定的抗静电性。而在抗静电尼龙纤维的纺丝中作为添加剂，还能减少纱线的断裂。

　　橡胶:合成树脂及橡胶如grs(sbr)在它们的乳化液中加入1~2%ebs,有良好的抗粘及抗结块的效果.

　　在沥青中的作用

　　沥青:ebs加入沥青中,能够提高其软化点约10℃,减少冷温塑性流动.而且在不变脆的前提下,可降低融化后粘性,增加耐水,耐酸,耐盐水喷雾.

　　作为润滑剂的功效

　　在abs、as、硬质pvc、聚甲醛、聚碳酸酯、聚氨酯和酚醛树脂的加工中，可用ebs作为润滑脱模剂.
