　　The creation of a pneumatic suspension integrator

　　In the early 1990s Dunlop CPVI was a trading company specialising in industrial vehicle

　　components. The founders of the company, Christophe Gérard and Jean-Louis Guérin - both

　　of whom worked for the Dunlop Group - realised that no French company was capable of

　　producing comprehensive air-based suspension systems.

　　From this pertinent observation sprung the project of creating a benchmark integrator for

　　pneumatic suspension : original components and spares. In 2000, Dunlop CPVI became

　　Pneumatis.

　　Pneumatis : rapid growth

　　The product range grew very quickly and with it the function of integrator. Acute

　　industrial acumen and intimate knowledge of their clients' needs meant that the Pneumatis

　　management team were able to tailor total pneumatic suspension systems for their customers.

　　The company was booming when, in 2007, a fire broke out totally destroying their premises.

　　The management team took this as an opportunity rather than a threat and just few days later

　　Pneumatis rose from its ashes in spacious, modern buildings near Paris; a new home for the

　　head offices, the quality control laboratory, the design office and the production unit.普利
