　　The Triconex 3721 may be an analog input module in a Triconex system.

　　It has some of the following features and functionality (specific features may vary depending on the application and configuration of the product):

　　Highly integrated design: features a low-power, 24-bit, sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with rich analog and digital features, eliminating the need for additional signal conditioning ICs.

　　Flexibility: Ability to handle thermocouple or RTD (resistance thermistor) sensor inputs and connect to 2-, 3- or 4-wire RTDs for a wide range of input types commonly used in industrial automation systems reduces design effort and provides flexibility for the user.

　　High-accuracy measurements: For example, for PT100 RTDs, 8x gain is recommended. To achieve the required accuracy, the RTD itself needs to be linearized by the host controller via software.

　　Thermocouple Measurement Function: Thermocouples are connected between specific terminals and the AIN4 pin provides a bias voltage for the thermocouple, typically 32x or 64x PGA gain is recommended.
