　　Model 4609 Advanced Communication Module (ACM) serves as the interface between the Tricon controller and Foxboro Intelligent Automation (I/ a) series systems, and appears as a secure node on the I/ A Series node bus in Foxboro systems. ACM communicates process information at A full network data rate for use anywhere on an I/A series system, transmitting all Tricon alias data (including system variables and system aliases) and diagnostic information to operator workstations in a display format familiar to Foxboro operators. The I/A Series capabilities provided by ACM are as follows: Use object management to process critical I/O points and pass the results to the I/A Series Database (OMDB) to process Tricon alarms and propagate them to user-defined I/A Series destinations (console).
