油水界面检测仪是为石油钻井设计的水油界面测量仪器,类似于水位指示器的便携式仪器，
油水界面检测仪有一个光学探针，可以发出污染物（通常是碳氢化合物）存在的信号，该污染物通常漂浮在地下水表面或沉积在地下水下面。
当探头下降到井中时，使用红外传感器来确定特殊毫米电缆上指示的深度处产品（通常是碳氢化合物）的存在，而电导率传感器则识别下层水位。两种方式之间的通道通过从连续音调（“产品”或油）到脉冲音调（水）的过渡来指示。
